Tim O2025-08-12Verified Incredible experience making your own cup of coffee from start to finish!!! We booked the transfer + tour option as we didn't have a way to get out to the farm ourselves. The taxi ride out was safe and easy, the driver arrived early and was super friendly. When we arrived to the farm, we were shown to the cafe as we were early and played with the dogs while our guides prepped. Our guide, Suki (spelling possibly incorrect) and his colleague then greeted us, and led us through the farm, demonstrating how arabica beans are harvested. We then were shown to the roasting building where our guides explained the entire coffee making process, from harvesting, processing, and roasting. We then got to roast our own coffee! They rated our coffee at 82/100 (new high score) which we thought was pretty good 😎Unfortunately as we're here during the wet season, the rain and wind started and the whole facility lost power, so we weren't able to brew the coffee we had roasted. While we waited for the power to come back, Suki explained a lot about Vietnamese culture, regarding coffee and everyday life, and allowed us to try some apricot wine (which was delicious). As the power didn't come back, the guys brought us to the cafe (which has a generator) and showed us how to brew robusta coffee using a traditional phin, and gave us the coffee we had roasted to bring home and brew ourselves. Overall despite the power problems due to the weather, we had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Da Lat. Our only regret is that we hadn't known about the farm before we arrived, otherwise, we would have booked into one of the bungalows on site! Eine super Erfahrung :) Hanti2025-07-27Verified Nice tour Jessie knows a lot about history, and she did her job very well. We enjoyed the coffee-roasting activity.
